week of januarrrrryyyyy elevennnttthh

We learned about Spring tides Neap tides. A Spring tide is when tides are extreme, high high tides and low low tides. A Neap tide is when the high and low tides are less extreme and more moderate.
We also learned why we have seasons. Seasons change according to whether sunlight is indirect or direct. The Earth's tilt causes sunlight to be direct and indirect. When the Earth is tilted towards the sun, the northern hemisphere is in summer. When the Earth is tilted away from the sun, the southern hemisphere has winter. Direct sunlight causes summer, and indirect causes winter.
